Calling all Changemakers

Public health continues to make incredible strides in advancing health and well-being in a dynamic and increasingly interconnected world, yet skepticism of science and distrust of medical institutions are at an all-time high. When public health is optimally effective, the public health is largely unaware. My charge is to build a thriving and diverse public health membership association that reflects this interdisciplinary field and those who are impacted and collaborate in our efforts. Effective public health initiatives do not operate in silo, nor can our membership association.

Mission: To unite and amplify the voice of public health to promote healthier communities in Nebraska. 

Our strategic goals: 

1. Advance PHAN's advocacy efforts
2. Strengthen and expand strategic organizational partnerships
3. Grow PHAN’s organizational capacity and diversify revenue streams
4. Grow and support PHAN’s membership 
5. Increase organizational transparency

It has never been a more exciting time to lead this organization. There are robust opportunities for students, early career and seasoned public health professionals, as well as public health adjacents to grow their network, get involved in advocacy, gain leadership experience and make a difference.
