2013 Request for Presentations for PHAN Conference - Due June 5, 2013
The Public Health Association of Nebraska (PHAN) is accepting proposals for concurrent and workshop sessions for the 2013 Annual PHAN Conference. The conference will be held October 10-11, 2013 at the Midtown Holiday Inn in Grand Island, Nebraska. Proposal applications are due June 5, 2013 at 5:00 P.M. CT. using the on-line RFP system.
The on-line RFP system does not allow you to save a copy of your work. We recommend you type your proposal in Word in the document provided, and then cut and paste the text into the online system.
Agenda and Registration - To be Announced
Your organization is invited to be a Sponsor of the Public Health Association of Nebraska Annual Conference. Sponsors are invited to contribute at different levels. Your contribution will help us maintain a high quality of speakers at our conferences. Sponsors will be named in conference materials. If you prefer, you can specify sponsoring a speaker, break, meal or the reception.
Sign up for an exhibit at the PHAN Conference. 125 - 150 public health professionals are expected to attend. The deadline for exhibitor registration is September 20, 2013.
Do you know an outstanding public health student, practitioner or advocate? Perhaps you know an individual, agency, organization or business contributing to the development of good public health practice in Nebraska. If so, PHAN is asking you to submit nomination(s) for the following award program categories.
 Jim Dills Distinguished Public Health Service Award
 Outstanding Student of Public Health Award
 PHAN Lifetime Membership Award
 PHAN Service Award
The Public Health Association of Nebraska is soliciting entries for a Poster Session, to be held at PHAN's Annual Conference. Poster themes must address important public health issues that reflect the conference theme. Preference will be given to research projects that reflect data related to public health.
The Public Health Association of Nebraska is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for student members interested in furthering their education in preparation for a career in public health. One $500 scholarship will be awarded at the PHAN Annual Conference in Grand Island to a student in a public health-related field.

PHAN:
The Public Health Association of Nebraska (PHAN) exists to protect and promote personal, community and environmental health throughout a variety of public health networks.
PHAN exercises leadership in public health policy development and advocacy, provides a forum for the discussion of emerging public health issues, and enhances the professional growth of members and other public health professionals across the state.
Nursing CNEs
An application will be submitted for Nursing CNEs for both days of the PHAN Conference. CNEs will be offered FREE to PHAN PHN Section members and for $25 each day to non-PHN Section Members.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVE:
The purpose of this conference is to provide public health professionals with the information, skills, and resources to advocate for opportunities to improve public health in their communities.

CANCELLATIONS
Conference cancellations will be honored with a full refund if requested by September 20. After that time we will not be able to issue refunds but we will accept substitutions.
